TOP 4 reasons your Go-Ped® may not be working properly .:
___ Please read the instruction manual attached to the Go-Ped®. Take special note to the adjustment of the EPW, or Engine Protection Washer. This is critical to the protection of your crankshaft, bearings, and the long life of your engine. It can also affect tire wear.
All Gopeds® come with a 90-day factory warranty against manufacturers defects. This does NOT include: excessive wear on the tires, parts damaged in an accident, a spindle breaking due to jumping or improper adjustment of the EPW (Engine Protection Washer) and/or damage to the motor due to improper gas:oil mixture. We will take care of any factory defect. Simply call us at (206) 632-0341 and confirm you are sending your Goped® back for a manufacturers defect warranty claim.
Most Goped® damage from an accident is easily fixed with part replacement. Simply refer to your part numbers in your Goped® manual provided with each Goped®. The following items include, but are not limited to, the commonly occurring damage to a vehicle as a result of an accident:
- Broken Starter Assembly #4067 = due to an accident. Most people fall to the left side of the Goped® if they have an accident. Sometimes in a hard fall the piece behind it, Fan Cover #4026, will break as well. Both these are easily replaced with a Phillips screwdriver.
- Uneven Wear on Back Tire #1058 = due to improper adjustment of EPW or Engine Protection Washer. The EPW must be frequently readjusted as the tire wears. See Goped® manual for details on proper adjustment. If this happens you would need to replace the back tire.
- Broken Spindle #1013 = due to jumping or improper adjustment of the EPW. Jumping a Goped® is the most common cause of a spindle breaking. Stock Goped® are not made for jumping! If one insists on jumping then a third wheel bearing support is recommended.
- Broken or lost Cover Cleaner #3110 = due your foot popping it off. We recommend a zip tie to secure it better or a high performance air filter, which is attached by hose clamp.
